I am alive...and we survived our First Novice outing!

In fact we did more than survive it...we kicked its butt!!

Yes, that is a pretty blue ribbon you guys see :) And I can tell you that was just a cherry on top of the day, because I went into this event just wanting a positive experience. Even if we finished dead last, I would have been happy if Tillie was happy and confident (as well as myself).

I was a bit nervous the day before and felt a bit all over the place. I finally have worked a full week at my new job and couldnt be more thrilled with it...which is also why I havent been blogging much. Also because the internet at our house is broken...whomp whomp...and I cant really do this at work as much.

The night before all cleaned up and ready to go out on grass for the night

BUT this is a sneak preview and I will be sure to add all my videos and stuff in more detail soon.

I have alot to say about this outing, but for now Ill just leave it at how excited I am at how well it went. It felt easy peasy and I recall thinking about half way through our XC course going well shit this is fun after all.

We actually galloped too!! Like full fledged, my arms pumping, two-pointing the whole time galloped. Tillie was so behaved she was able to do that AND come back to me for a nice jump when asked.

Getting it done in stadium

All in all I couldnt be more thrilled. Of course there are things I can nit pick and will so we can keep improving, but it was such a positive first novice, I really cant right now! Especially since we were one of the only clean rounds out of ALL the divisions (probably largely in part to using studs)...Tillie ate up the course like a machine.

Tillie showing off with my god daughter after we finished.
